SimOmics Awarded Crack-IT Challenge
SimOmics have been awarded just under £100,000 to develop an integrated in silico, web deployed system to better predict acute oral, skin and eye irritation in the development of agrochemicals without using animals or generating new in vitro data. Working with the University of York's Departments of Environment (Prof Alistair Boxall), Computer Science (Dr James Cussens) and Mathematics (Dr John Pitchford), the new tool will provide a tool capable of reliably classifying mixtures of chemicals for acute oral toxicity, skin and eye irritation cutting the number of animal tests required.
